I try to draw together this body

 

~ 3.18  And the sea brings forth a new world

 

~ 3.40 this gaze is carried to you only by the arms of those that line the ocean floor 

This voice is  carried to you only by the arms of those beneath the earth 

 

~3.57 Built up from fragments

~ built up from the water that took our kin

~This is new ground. 

~4.00 What has this world made of us?

 

~4.17 Worlds that we could have been

~ 4.23 Felt in our bones and our desires

~ 4.28 lost in the chasms of that archive

~4.30 Submerged beneath the wake of merchant ships

 

~ 4.36 I think because of those with lost names

 

~ 5.18  I think of the wake that swallowed my kin
